Checking in from the Field

Well....it's been 2 days and I haven't gotten anywhere with our shonen. This is not to say that I've failed. It is to say that by luring him out of his lair I've managed to avoid the situation entirely. Now....the shonen isn't learning anything by this practice, by any means, and I know that I will most likely have to face-off with him on this issue again in the near future once I have to defend myself on his home ground, but I will say that thus far it's been a relaxing and enjoyable 2 days of my quest.


But alas, all good things must end. We're running out of time however, and I have many obstacles keeping me from interacting with the shonen for the next few days before he leaves on a shonen journey to learn to perfect his fighting techniques. He will come back even stronger than he left, I fear. Though hopefully he will be humbled and possibly sidetracked and confused.

But if I don't have a chance to convince him that social interaction is preferable to in-depth militaristic discussion, do I still complete the quest???? We shall find out at the end of the level I suppose.
